Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 PSP Preview

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 for the PSP focuses on the last three books in the Harry Potter book series. The game, which picks up where Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 left off brings players through the world created in the books. Players will be pulled through different worlds and locations made famous by the Harry Potter book series and encounter characters they are familiar with through the series, as well. As a Lego figure players learn spells, encounter enemies and friends and build their skills for a final battle against Lord Voldemort, just like in the books.

Lego brand games rarely deviate from their pattern and Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 is no exception. The game focuses on collecting spells and valuables, exploring multiple landscapes and solving puzzles all to build up to a final main battle. Lego Harry Potter focuses on the collection of spells which can then be selected and used via wheel selection for specific battles, side missions and instances. Players are also granted the mission of unlocking characters and items to use within the game.

Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 has added some pretty special new features. It offers a feature in which the Lego character can cut open specific areas of walls made of Lego bricks to build useful tools to advance in the game. In addition to the adventure mode players can use a freeplay mode, and a co-op mode in which two players can attack the stages and levels together.

The side missions are expected to be challenging and add a significant amount of game play time to the game, but the main goal of this game is the epic battle with Lord Voldemort; just like in the books and movies. Any fan of the Harry Potter series is well aware that the latter books, which this game focuses on, broached dark topics including death and redemption. Players can expect Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 to touch on those same topics. The game, because of the books it is based on, will likely be a bit edgier and suspenseful than the last Lego Harry Potter installment.

The PSP version will be available for purchase on November 11, 2011 just in time for the holiday season. Stores are currently taking pre-orders for the game. Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 is also being released on all other consoles on the same date.

Ore no Shikabane o Koete Yuke For PSP

A glimpse of the upcoming game  Ore no Shikabane o Koete Yuke for the PSP.  Just when you probably thought with rumors going around that the PSP is dying because of the new release of the PS Vita.  PSP will not go away so easily.  I mean this RPG seems very good.  I still wonder if there is going to be a North America version of it.

Ore no Shikabane o Koety Yuke seems to have great graphics.  I like this specific style.  I think there has got to be more great RPGs for the PSP besides the Final Fantasy series.  I am looking forward to know more of this game.  Developed and Published by Sony Computer Entertainment Japan.  Release date is unknown at the moment.

The game trailer just below, enjoy :D

Half Minute Hero Second - Japanese PSP gameplay

Half Minute Hero Second definitely gets an upgrade in the graphics department.  Although this game is fairly simple in its concept, I am just amazed on the level of popularity it has.  Yes, I got to play the very first Half Minute Hero, but to tell you the truth, I was not that impressed and only played it for the first couple of days.

Half Minute Hero Second is still being worked on as I write this, so it has not been released just yet.  Half Minute Hero Second is published and developed by Marvelous Entertainment.  To my knowledge it is a PSP exclusive game.

Overall it looks very much fun! and those who liked the first edition, are likely to like the second one too.  Enjoy the video down below titled Dark Goddess of Time. :)

Grand Knights History PSP Battle System - Short Video Trailer

So, by the looks of things, the characters on here are fighting a golem boss or something.  looks good though the video is extremely short.  Grand Knights History for the PSP is developed by Vanilla Ware and published by Marvelous Entertainment.  Still this game's release date is to be announced, but hopefully soon before 2012 perhaps.  The japanese version of the game at least, no clue if this will go beyond Japan.  Looks like a good RPG, though it is too early to say with the short preview here:

Growlanser IV Over Reloaded PSP Japanese Video

One of the good things I can say about this game is that the anime scenes are looking amazing!  Just by it anyone could think that this more an anime than a PSP game.  looks like a good RPG though I have not followed this series being this #4, sorry never heard of it, and perhaps we in North America will not see it, as it will only be for the Japanese audience.  It brought my attention that a character in this game resembles Sephiroth so much lol.... Growlanser IV OverReloaded for the PSP is published by Atlus, Developed by Career Soft.  Enjoy the video trailer :D

Available for the PSP, some mobile phones, and Ipad... looks like fun, although I have not played it myself yet.  Here is a little gamplay video footage of the game being played on the PSP.  What do you think?  Looking good, or looking crappy?

Invizimals: Shadow Zone - PSP Preview

The next installment in the Invizimals series of Invizimals: Shadow Zone is scheduled to be released later this fall. For any fans of the first game they should be very satisfied.

The story is said to pick up several months after the first installment ended, the major difference between Shadow Zone and the last game are the captures are new and more involved compared to its predecessor. The game also includes over one hundred new Invisimals for you to prey on. With the release of this new game PSP has also includes the possibility of playing co-operative meaning with a friend, through using the infrastructure connectivity. In addition to all these amazing features you are also able to edit your Invizimals by changing the names, colors, and selecting attacks. The game also includes a new kind of system as well where the player is able to travel to locations where the player learns how the Invizimals help shape ancient mythology making this a very sought out game.

Although the game never really made an impression on the United States the game killed and took over Europe. This is probably due to the fact that the game had in fact hit the United States a full year after it hit PAL territories, so naturally the US was never quite interested. However PlayStation has announced that the new game had been dropped in Europe in November and that it would be open to the US next fall.
The game has been described as a "got to catch them all" franchise, due to the fact that the game is very Pokemon like. But in all seriousness that isn’t necessarily a bad thing definitely not for the developers, in the past Pokemon was one of the most popular games around you couldn’t get away from it. And since when you play Invizimals you can use the PSP's mike and add on camera to defeat unique creatures in a variety of different ways, it can be easily seen that this game could in fact trump the popularity of the Pokemon. The game has already gained popularity in Europe and is scheduled for release in the US within the next fall.

Senritsu no Stratus - PSP Japanese Debut Trailer

Published by Konami, Developed by Nude Maker Senritsu No Stratus.  Good cinematic entrance.  Looks a bit similar to Evangelion... Hopefully this game will make it to North America, and if they do, please hire good people for voice acting.  Apparently it is a big deal when translating a game from another language.

Check out the Japanese debut trailer below! It looks awesome!

Thor God of Thunder PSP Video Launch Trailer

Seems like people say that this could just be a replica of the best selling game: God of War.  except the character is different, and the weapon is a hammer.  As always, I do think that most movie based games are really a no-no.  A rare number of movie based games are fairly good.

Thor for the PSP is looking somewhat good here, but will only tell when the actual gameplay takes place.  I predict Thor for the PSP is going to be a good buy for those who are fans of the comic by Marvel.  Still yet to see....

Prinny 2: Dawn of Operation Panties, Dood! PSP Review Dood

I think this game is much the same as the first one. Very hard and frustrating sometimes like the review person says. Nevertheless the graphics and all the other innovations is what makes me want to play Prinny 2: Dawn of Operation Panties regardless.

Haruhi Suzumiya Goes To PSP Game

I just found out on GT.com. I know the video looks kinda melancholic right? seems really nice for those who have been watching, and loving the anime of the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya like I have, to get exited about this game coming out for the PSP and PS3. The game itself is going to be called "The Reminiscences of Haruhi Suzumiya." Published and developed by Namco Bandai games... One thing though, I really do not know whether it will only be a Japanese release, still yet to have a date set.
