Modnation Racers PSP Gameplay And Review [Drive A Race Car]

By Origami Origin (find more excellent PSP videos on his channel HERE)

A lot of people compared this to Mario Kart Racing.Which doesn't matter at all. This is a new game created by SONY and therefore it's unique in its own way(some even said it's Little Big Planet Racers. lol). For the last four days, I've been playing this game. it got me addicted since it came out here early :)so the review i wanted to do is like this: PROS ,CONS,OVERALL, RATING(from 1 to 5,..5 being the highest) :)

PROS: Great creation tools
Excellent visuals
Spot-on controls
Massive amounts of content and downloadable content(which is AWESOME by the way

CONS: No tutorial for CREATING custom tracks.
Shallow story.
Drifting sucks.
Career goals are a bit repetitive.
Stomping an opponent can be hard.
Mod and Kart stuffs have locked items and can only be unlocked by completing career goals
Which is very time consuming.

OVERALL:
I think this is a good game and should be played by all psp fans out there. It can make you addicted to it. No more, no less.Period.
Rating:
I'd give this a 4

One - Two Boat Racing [PSP Mini] Gameplay

Please keep in mind that this game is best played with your buddy gamer.  As for me I played One-Two Boat Racing by myself.  The graphics are okay, the controls are a bit weird for my taste, and especially the set up.  You got to rotate your PSP 90 degrees counter clock, so that the screen is facing you on the side as opposed to just setting it as most common games.  I really do not like that.  It is somewhat weird to me to be viewing my PSP the way it was not intended and have discomfort on trying out the controls.

Seen here on the gameplay, I was just alternating pressing the buttons up and down for the first man to row and then triangle and x for the second man to row.  If you were with your game buddy, he/she would have been in charge of the triangle and x, and you would only take care of pressing the up and down buttons.  the trick here is to be at the same pace.  I think that is why the title one-two.  well, once you find the rythm of rowing you will be going fast, but mind the obstacles!  you can definitely crash on some of those rock things if not paying attention.  Well, I think you won't find me playing this mini again, just because I have so many other games that are a little better to my liking.  One two boat racing may not be all that great, but at least it will get you a little entertained I think.

Ramen Heaven PSP Mini Gameplay Review

A Funny matter comes about as you decide to play a few Minis for the PSP: you recognise that the folks who in reality constructed the game in all likelihood have not even laid their hands on the system. What's peculiarly puzzling, tho', is true that Ramen Heaven is evidently built by Sony's Japan Studio. This odd enigma of how the manufacturers of their very own gaming hardware did not actually believe through with the idea of trying to get 2 persons hold either end of the PSP, on the other hand it does not look like there was a great deal of effort placed into Ramen Heaven for starters.

Although Ramen Heaven can be played by a single person, it's undenyably intended to be a versus experience where you utilise chopsticks to move the oily bubbles in a big ol' bowl of ramen broth onto your spoon to "gain your Satisfaction" when you automatically get a sip of anything that is in the spoon at semi-regular intervals. The oil may accumulate and get get bigger, which then becomes tougher to drag without wearing and hence diminishing your Satisfaction whenever it does not enter into the spoon, However there's not much more to that. You will be able to make more oil appear by ticking a small icon that comes out often on the screen, and have to nullify additional yummy things that common folks would likely merrily scarf down. for instance eggs and other edibles, but why do that while there is oil to be sipped?, lol

Conclusion
In my gameplay seen here, I surely played the one player mode. Although this game is considered a mini and not much competition to the big full games out there for the PSP, I think they could have come up with more entertaining. I did not even bother to finish the first round. sorry, after you have finished the round you get a rank, from A to D I think or something like that, I did not bother to pay attention to that detail. It is not like me to give bad reviews to mini PSP games, when I love most mini game genres. There are certainly much fun mini games for the PSP out there.

More on the gameplay here; I used Remotejoy lite to record the action, of Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake for the PSP.  But it looks like while doing so, some graphics were sacrificed.  It looks clear when not using Remotejoy lite, I assure you.   This is mission 3 of 19 available I think plus there are other modes.  very much fun to play.  I recommend it. :D

Seems like a lot of fun; testing your reflexes in Coconut dodge for the PSP, you will be a crab catching all the goodies and avoiding the unwanted items.  Looks excellent from FuturLab Developer.  It is a Sony exclusive until further notice.  Release date was on May 19, 2010, meaning is out now available at PSN Store.  I will hopefully create a gameplay post later on...

VT Tennis - PSP Gameplay - Trailer

Developed by Virtual Toys.  VT Tennis as seen on this trailer, seems like a good PSP mini title.  Release date to be announced and will be available for the following consoles: Sony PSP, PlayStation 3, iPhone, DSiWare, minis.  I will be on the lookout for more on this game.

Valkyrie Profile Lenneth PSP - Final Battle - Gameplay Videos

Warning! this can be said to be a spoiler for the game.  There is no ending movie right after you beat the last guy (Surt) in Valkyrie Profile Lenneth.  I was expecting at least a CG movie showing what happens to Lenneth right after she has done her mission of recruiting and training souls in Midgard.  Instead you hear a Lenneth is tired from her mission, and needs sleep, speech.  While the game itself is great with awesome battle system; the final scene was lacking much on work, I think.  After video #2 finishes, the game credits start to show.

Reef Aquarium PSP Mini Gameplay [Pet Salt Water Fish]

One of those games that are great and simple.  All I did here was feed the different types of fishies learn their names and pet them.  I'd say its more interesting than fun.  Anyway I recommend Reef Aquarium on the PSP for fish lovers of all ages.  :D

Normal Tanks PSP Mini Gameplay Footage

Loved Normal Tanks for the PSP.  It is quite simple, yet very good, interesting, and entertaining fun mini game.  I think for me the only thing I find a little odd is the control settings.  The joystick is used for auto aiming? I have trouble moving and dodging the enemies attacks while countering, because I have to move with the directional pad and move almost simultaneously and its quite hard I think.  Other than that is a great game and I think you will get to like playing and controlling with these stainless steel tanks.  I recommend it :D

Music Quiz PSP Mini Gameplay

Music Quiz for PSP is an good mini game.  As for every trivia video games out there, they run out of new questions, and so the second time around, you will do good if you have remembered the answer hehe! :D  I do believe there are dumb questions included in the pile of interesting... I mean, how should I know the real sound??? aren't they both real... lol.  It makes me also wonder how many people would not know the answer for what a horse sounds like.  :D I specially liked the Playstation sounds questions since its on a PSP.  Being a fan of the Playstation legacy, they test me on how much I know the many sounds of the Playstation consoles.  Very good job for a mini game on the PSP I think...

Pile Up! Bakery - PSP Gameplay

Simple delicious looking game.  Pile Up! Bakery for the PSP.  It consists on dropping the sweets in the center, to make like the title suggests a pile of bakery.  As you advance the machine (that drops the sweets) moving from side to side, go faster and, so it is more difficult to be accurate. Pressing the button at the right time so it will release the sweet at the center gets harder.  The more you stack up by the time period the more points you will receive or rather it will tell you how tall you made the pile, like in the video here, I did 64cm and got ranked a "C" (hey! I think that is not so great..lol) .  And folks, that is all there is to the game.  Being a mini you'd expect it not be long and complicated video game, so it fits perfectly in the mini family.  I personally think it is entertaining, and fun compared to some other minis I have played.  I do recommend this game, it is good for sure! :D

Pinball Duel - PSP Mini Gameplay

Somewhat hard for my taste and not even a super skilled required.  I have had fun playing Pinball Duel, although sometimes very frustrating playing against the CPu.  I would imagine playing a versus with another human would be more fun.  The object of the game is to get 10k points first, before your opponent.  Do not let the balls fall on your side because it counts as points to your opponent and vice verse.  Yea! good game for a PSP mini in my opinion, but you'll not find me playing it for hours til end.  :D

Car Jack Streets - PSP Gameplay

Here is footage taken from Car Jack Streets for the PSP, which is very much like the old grand theft auto game.  really awesome! some of the features are the same; like stealing a car, driving it and playing the radio once there.  The GPS system lets you know where to go, and what to do next.  Picking up weapons, blowing stuff up and run from the police all included! Good game, to be a mini PSP Car Jack Streets will bring memories back if you ever played the old grand theft auto games for sure...

SVC Chaos - PSP Gameplay Video: Mai Vs Iori

I am not really good at this fighting game, but I love to choose Mai Shiranui because she is a sexy fighting babe, and her moves and special attacks are awesome..  I used remotejoy lite for the PSP to record the gameplay.  The video quality is a bit much better than the older SVC Chaos I recorded a year ago.  remotejoy lite is great for recording gameplay, but here you can see that it slows down the PSP a little bit.  Another fault it has is that it cannot record sound.  you will need a microphone to record it. of course there are other methods of including sound, but a microphone is what I use.
