Sony PS Vita Release Date

When Can I Get A Playstation Vita?
As we finally have some confirmed information and not just rumors, the buzz has been growing: the Playstation Vita is coming. With a pile of interesting features including front and rear touch sensitivity, a quad core processor, gyroscope, front and rear cameras, and best of all a great price point, it looks like the 3DS has a serious competitor.

So of course now the question is, "When can I get one?". Well, you won't have to wait too long, but exactly how long is still up for debate.

When the first rumors of this new handheld were coming out, word was that it would launch in fall 2011, probably at the end of October. It's unusual for rumors to carry such a specific release date, so this may have held some credibility. However, likely because of delays caused by the Japan earthquake (although Sony has denied this (1), and of course, the usual delays all complicated electronics suffer, this supposed October release date seems out of the question now.

The latest rumor that has surfaced is that the Vita will be launching in the UK on November 4 (2). One could then assume that the US, JP, and other territories will be slightly before, on, or slightly after that date. But don't get too excited about this date.

First, if you check the source, you will see that the date is being pulled from a UK retailer listing. Retailer listings are hardly the most reliable source. Wouldn't it be nice if you could depend on the Gamestop estimated release date that they first put up to allow you to preorder that mega-hyped upcoming game? It would. But you can't. Retailers just want to get as many preorders as possible. If they have to push back their date later, they already have your order, and most people won't bother changing it. This is a normal way of doing business now.

Second, the Vita was just officially announced at E3. This would be the shortest time ever between an announcement and a major hardware release. The 3DS was announced at E3 June 2010, and wasn't released until Feb. 2011. Also, there is a large list of "confirmed" launch titles. Thinking all these could be ready to go by November is a stretch, depending on how long the developers have had their hands on dev kits.

Third, and most telling: At E3, when pressed about a Vita release date, Jack Tretton, SCEA president, said (paraphrasing) "the Vita will launch in at least one territory by the end of the year", and during E3 Kaz Hirai, Executive Deputy President of Sony's Consumer Electronics Division, said only that "the Vita will launch worldwide by the end of this year". It seems very likely that Sony will launch the Vita in Japan (-possibly- North America) only this Christmas, with a worldwide release coming soon after. Simultaneous worldwide releases are very difficult from a supply and marketing standpoint, and Nintendo employed a similar strategy with the 3DS. This possibility is backed up by recent rumors where Jack Tretton interviewed with Gametrailers TV (3), where he said a worldwide release would be "at latest, by March, 2012".

So, it seems the rumor mill is once again building around the Vita, after being someone dispelled by E3. The bottom line is, don't expect one before Christmas, especially if you aren't living in Japan, North America, or Western Europe. But Sony has put together a great little machine with what looks like an amazing launch lineup, so it should be worth the wait.

How to Convert Videos to .MP4 for PSP

When converting video files for Sony Playstation Portable (PSP), the best format to use would be an MP4 format. The type of software that is needed to convert the files into MP4 is the “im TOO PSP Video Converter” (Google Search). This sort of software can convert many files into different formats for the PSP.This software is also free for the user to download and use.

The first thing that people would want to do when converting a file to MP4 is they will want to open up the software and add the files that they would want to convert into MP4.They will then want to choose a file that has the capacity of their memory stick. They will then want to set the destination to where they will want the files to end up at.

After they have set the destination they will then want to encode it so that way the files can be added to their memory stick. After the files are transferred to the memory stick, the person will then want to transfer the files to their PSP.

They will first want to connect their PSP to their computer. They will want to use a USB cable and make sure that it is securely in, so it won’t come unplugged. Then wait for the computer to recognize the object, after it is done recognizing it. The person will then want to go into tools and go to the play station portable video manager.

Where the person last saved their files, it should be on the left, but if it is not on the left of their screen they can always browse their computer to locate the folder. Now that they have the files that they want to transfer to their PSP they will then be able to copy the files. The user can now see that the files have been transferred to their play station portable.

Everyone who has a PSP wants to be able to put different audio or video on it, with this software the user will be able to have those files at their finger tips in no time.

Invizimals: Shadow Zone - PSP Preview

The next installment in the Invizimals series of Invizimals: Shadow Zone is scheduled to be released later this fall. For any fans of the first game they should be very satisfied.

The story is said to pick up several months after the first installment ended, the major difference between Shadow Zone and the last game are the captures are new and more involved compared to its predecessor. The game also includes over one hundred new Invisimals for you to prey on. With the release of this new game PSP has also includes the possibility of playing co-operative meaning with a friend, through using the infrastructure connectivity. In addition to all these amazing features you are also able to edit your Invizimals by changing the names, colors, and selecting attacks. The game also includes a new kind of system as well where the player is able to travel to locations where the player learns how the Invizimals help shape ancient mythology making this a very sought out game.

Although the game never really made an impression on the United States the game killed and took over Europe. This is probably due to the fact that the game had in fact hit the United States a full year after it hit PAL territories, so naturally the US was never quite interested. However PlayStation has announced that the new game had been dropped in Europe in November and that it would be open to the US next fall.
The game has been described as a "got to catch them all" franchise, due to the fact that the game is very Pokemon like. But in all seriousness that isn’t necessarily a bad thing definitely not for the developers, in the past Pokemon was one of the most popular games around you couldn’t get away from it. And since when you play Invizimals you can use the PSP's mike and add on camera to defeat unique creatures in a variety of different ways, it can be easily seen that this game could in fact trump the popularity of the Pokemon. The game has already gained popularity in Europe and is scheduled for release in the US within the next fall.

The Top 10 PSP Educational Games For Kids

If you thought that playing games on the PSP was just for entertainment only, then think again.  There are definitely some games that are very educational as well as entertaining and can quite help in the development of your child's knowledge.  Math, trivia, thinking exersices, and spelling are some of the features of the following PSP games we consider to be our top 10 in our list.  Please check them out for yourselves and see if you agree.  Here they are:

Hot brain is a game about brain training. The player will be able to train their brain playing mini games. These mini games will test the player’s brain to make the player sharper and smarter. The good thing about hot brain is that most of the mini games are good and fun to play. The thing about hot brain is that it feels really fresh and something new. The not so good part of the game is that some of the mini games are pretty boring and that there are just not enough of the mini games. The multiplayer aspect of the game is pretty dull.

My Spanish coach is a game that helps players discovers a new language. Using several trick that help the player remember. There is eight different activities that help the player learn vocabulary, sentence structure, and verb conjunction. The great thing about my Spanish coach is the eight games that it does have provide the player with fast and fun learning experience. Even though the animations of the game are pretty basic it still is fun to play. There is not much music in the game and the voice in the game can be muffled at time. Even with its flaws this game is great for people who want to learn Spanish fast.

Spelling Challenges and More is a game that helps players with their spelling abilities. The player will be put into a challenge in a spelling bee.Every time the player wins; they get points that are converted into dollars. The game has a hundred difficulties, and with many challenges for the player to complete. The player will spell and do other types of challenges in this game. The game can be very repetitive and the back ground does not seem attractive. Even with these flaws this game is great if the player wants to work on their spelling.

Buzz Master Quiz is a game where the player will take several quiz and have to answer them. The game is like a trivia game show people would watch on their television. The great thing about buzz master quiz is the presentation that it has. It looks really good and the character avatar looks great. Plus if the player is a fan of trivia shows they would get a big kick out of this game. The pass around mode is also pretty fun and can leave the player entertained for hours. Though the one bad thing about the game is the other multiplayer modes are pretty shallow and not so much fun.

Mind Quiz is a game where the players test their brain. This game is basically one that the player can play to memorize different things like numbers .There is word game and math games so there is a lot of variety when it comes to this game. The game play is very repetitive but it helps the player memorize things using different mini games. The graphics are basically a bunch of numbers and somewhat bad art. This game will help the player feel smarter while they play it.

Cube is a game where the player must get the cube from the beginning of the level to the exit of the level. The concept of cube gets complicated as the player progress through the game. The tutorials in the game are really well done; they are pretty short and informative. A player can navigate through the menu very easily with cubes design. Figuring out how to complete every puzzle in the game can be fun and a great challenge for the player.

Scrabble is a game where the player mixes letters around to make word. Players can branch off of others words to get bonus points. Scrabble is a great game if the players love mixing around letters to see what words they can make out of them. The best thing about scrabble is it is fun but the player can take the game on the go and keep having fun with the game. Even if the multiplayer aspect of the game is a little weak at times there is still plenty of fun to be had with this game.

Ultimate Board Game Collection is a game that has many board games for players to play .It has all the family favorites like chess, checkers, and dominoes. If the player likes to play board games the ultimate board game collection is the right choice for them. The single player of this game may be lacking, but it is the multiplayer that shines to make this game a prize to be had. This game is something that any player who loves board games can enjoy, or if the player just wants to unlock some trophy's.There is something for everyone in this handheld game.

Chessmaster: The Art of Learning is a game that can teach a player that does not know anything about chess and give them all the tools to learn to be good at the game. The player can play quick matches s of chess and save the game play. With the game play video the player can watch and see what new strategies they can learn to use when they play the next game of chess. The great thing about chess master is that there are a lot of chess games in the game itself so the player won’t feel like they are repeating themselves. The different difficulty modes and unique character models should keep the player interested for a pretty long time.

PQ Practical Intelligence Quotient 2 is a game that will train the player’s brain. The game has many obstacles puzzles to go through and it also offers many modes that the player can play through. The game can be very difficult at times for the player but there is nothing like the satisfaction when the player completes a hard puzzle. One of the best aspects of the game is that there is weekly downloadable test and that increases the games lifespan.

Again, these games are very educational and not restricted to kids since many grown ups can also enjoy them.  Have fun playing and learning :)
