Queen's Speech lights Kindles on Christmas Day

Queen's Speech lights Kindles on Christmas Day. eBook readers, Christmas, Amazon, Amazon Kindle, ebooks, The Queen 0
Amazon is hoping that it will be an Annus Kindlebilis, as the Queen's traditional Christmas Day speech is to land in ebook format for the first time.
The Kindle version of HRH's speech will hit the Kindle Store after she has made the official address through the traditional radio and television channels. All 59 of Her Majesty’s previous Christmas messages - dating back from 1952 - will also be available to download and read on your Kindle as well.
"Millions of people across the UK, and the world, wait with anticipation to hear The Queen’s Christmas broadcast and we’re delighted to be able to make transcripts of Her Majesty’s annual addresses, past and present, available to download for free in less than 60 seconds” said Gordon Willoughby, director, Kindle EU.
"Many people will be unwrapping Kindles on Christmas Day and now Kindle readers, new and old, will be able to read The Queen’s words for years to come."
The Queen has been proving that she's quite au fait with tech over the last couple of years (her staff have, at least). In 2010 The Queen added Flickr to ones social media and The British Monarchy also joined Facebook.
